The devil does not mind how successful we are on earth for as long as we don’t think about eternity.

SCRIPTURE:

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: 

The consciousness of eternity makes people to be cautious in time.

One of the things that seems to have been forgotten in our generation today is the consciousness of eternity. People are always conscious of the cares of this life but they don’t seem to be conscious of eternity; they are conscious of their daily needs but they are not conscious of heaven and hell. And this is not supposed to be so because it is the consciousness of eternity that makes people to be cautious in time.

Now, one of the easiest things any pastor can do is to preach people into excitement. As a pastor, it is easy to give keys for earthly progress and prosperity; it is easy to make people excited so they can commend your message as a powerful one. But the greatest help anybody can do to a fellow human being is to point them to the reality of eternity; that is, the reality of heaven and hell.

We live in days where the devil is fighting with all his strength to blindfold people to the reality of the afterlife.

TAKE NOTE OF THIS: The devil does not mind how successful we are on earth for as long as we don’t think about eternity. 

The devil does not mind how many results or achievements we have, how many things we are able to get by faith in this world as long as we don’t live in the consideration of eternity.

Beloved, a time will come when our breathing will stop and all the organs in our body will stop functioning. 

Then, we will appear before God in eternity. At that time, the money we have in our account, the car we drive, the dress we wear, etc. will not matter. What will matter then will be the investment we have made in our spirit and into eternity.

Beloved, receive the grace to be conscious of eternity always, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE HARMLESS WEAPON

SCRIPTURE: 

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. Isaiah 54:16.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: 

The weapon that can harm you does not exist.

MESSAGE: 

Our God is the Creator of things in the earth. He is the One who created the manufacturers of all forms of weapons in the earth today. But the truth is, He did not create or licence the manufacturers of weapons to manufacture any of the weapons against you. This is what Isaiah 54:16 reveals. It is very important to know that God did not create or license the manufacturers of weapons to manufacture any of the weapons against you. 

This is another powerful light that guarantees your preservation in God.

God created the person who manufactures weapons like guns, arrows, spears, etc., but He did not create or license the manufacturers of these weapons to manufacture any of them against you.

God did not create or license the blacksmith to manufacture any weapon against you. The blacksmith can manufacture knives for other purposes but not for the purpose of harming you.

Therefore, the person who can manufacture the weapon that can waste you was not created. The one who can manufacture the charms, talismans or weapons that can waste you was not created. It was not part of God’s plan at creation. 

This means, the fortune-teller or Babalawo (witch doctor) who can produce the charm that can kill you before your time was not created by God. The demon that can waste you was never created. The weapon that can harm you does not exist.

When you know this, you will no longer be afraid of any wicked witch or wizard that is dreaded in your village.

I decree that Divine preservation is your portion in Jesus’ Name

Our anchor Scripture reveals a very important admonition by Jesus Christ to the saints, especially in these perilous times. He admonished us to take heed and watch and pray. 

To escape the damnations of hell and end in eternity with God, it is necessary to watch and pray. Watching and praying makes you to be on your guard because there are forces that want to make you fall in life (Daniel 6:4-5).

There are people sponsored from the pit of hell who devise strategies to ensure that you are swept off your feet spiritually. For example, the Philistines could not kill Samson until they devised strategies and made him sin. They employed Delilah who lured him into sin and he fell (Judges 16:1-21).

Beloved, there are people whose major assignment in life is how to pull down your life and ministry. 

They would do anything to ensure that you fall from the faith. While God called you to change people’s lives, satan called them and gave them the assignment to distract, harass and divert your attention from fulfilling the calling.

There are people who want to engage you in bitterness and send you straight to hellfire. My counsel is, leave them alone.

Beloved, refuse to go through church and end in hell fire. It is better not to go through church at all than to be known in church and be found in hell in the end. God forbid!

Therefore, be vigilant. Watch and pray always. Refuse to slack in your spiritual life.

REMEMBER THIS: 

To end in eternity with God, it is necessary to watch and pray.

It has been confirmed that there are negative patterns that affect people’s lives and destinies. 

There are negative patterns that limit peoples’ breakthrough and progress in life. Sometimes, these patterns could be peculiar to families and generational in nature. 

Some of these negative patterns are manifestations of ancestral curses and covenants. These patterns can also manifest as negative tendencies or habits.

One way to have breakthrough in life is to deal with these negative patterns.

Now, the first step in dealing with these negative patterns is to identify them. Identifying the negative patterns means recognizing and pointing them out. Identifying the negative tendency or habit is important because you cannot deal with what you have not identified. 

What has not been diagnosed can never be treated. So, negative patterns must be identified before they can be dealt with.

Beloved, as you examine or study your life, you need to identify a particular negative tendency or habit, a negative pattern of life you may have been battling with; until this is done, you can do nothing because you can’t deal with what you have not identified.

Identifying the pattern is pointing out a particular negative occurrence in your family. 

For example, the negative pattern in your family may be that of rise and crash in life’s endeavours. You realized that your father rose to a point in business and suddenly crashed. 

It was the same story with your uncles who also rose one time but are now struggling in life. Now, when you identify these patterns, you deal with them at the place of prayer.

And today, I decree that God will open your eyes to identify and deal with any negative pattern in your family and lineage in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: 

You cannot deal with what you have not identified.

1. Identify the negative patterns or habits in your life and family.

2. Deal with them at the place of prayer.

SEEDS OF DESTINY 8TH DECEMBER 2020 DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The grace of God is needed to overcome the weaknesses of life. The grace of God is needed because people are confronted with diverse kinds of weaknesses.

Hebrews 12:1 refers to these weaknesses as “the sins which doth so easily beset us”. These sins, which satan uses to pull people down, are unique to different people. For example, there are people who don’t drink alcohol or smoke cigarette but when they are tempted with money matters, they would easily fall even though they appear to be fervent Christians. 

Some people can be praying in tongues yet cheating people. It may be a generational weakness. People in a particular family may be known for or identified with a certain kind of weakness. So, identify the weakness in your life and ask God for the grace to deal with it.

So, when you identify the weakness in your life that Satan wants to capitalise on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God. The grace makes you to say “No” to sin (Titus 2:11-12). When you are confronted with sin, you tell God: “Lord, I need grace to overcome this sin – this alcoholic tendency, this immorality, this pornographic addiction, these habits of lying and cheating etc.” 

And as you apply for grace, also apply physical caution or safeguard. For example, if you know that your problem is lying, gossip, exaggeration, betraying people, etc. reduce the way you talk.

Beloved, as you apply for grace to overcome your weaknesses, you shall overcome the enemy and his temptations in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: 

When you identify the weakness in your life that satan wants to capitalise on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Identify the weakness(es) in your life.

2. Always apply for the grace of God to overcome the weakness(es) of life.

3. Be cautious in life and don’t take the grace of God for granted. Don’t misuse the grace of God as an opportunity to commit more sins.

O Lord, I apply for Your grace to overcome the weaknesses of my life. I receive Your Help Lord to say “No” to sin. Help me to maintain uprightness of life by Your grace, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

In our previous studies, we saw that the revelation of God’s word is key to the preservation of lives and destinies. The secrets you access determine the shade of preservation you can enjoy.

We also saw one revelation of God’s word from Isaiah 54:15 that guarantees your preservation, and it is: the only conspiracy or gathering that can succeed against you is the one that originated from God.

The meaning of this is, as long as a conspiracy or a gang-up is not of God, it can never succeed against you.

Therefore, when there is a gathering of men or demons against you, the question to ask is: who gathered them? If there is a gang-up against you, the first question to ask is: who gathered them? Even if it was the devil himself, (the fallen lucifer) who gathered them, there is nothing to worry about.

Now, how does this revelation apply to you?

Any time someone comes to you and asks you, “Do you know there is a gang-up in your office or in the village against you?” your reply should be: who gathered them?

If you hear that there is a gang-up against your parents, family members or loved ones, the question to ask is: who gathered them?

f it was not God who gathered them, then the gang-up or conspiracy can never succeed against your life and destiny.

Beloved, this revelation will make you walk with springs under your feet. It is the secret of your victory over the devil and his agents.

Remember this: If it was not God who gathered them, no gang-up or conspiracy can succeed against your life and destiny.

SCRIPTURE: 

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

Refuse to sleep with guilt because you don’t know what will happen overnight.

Earlier, we saw some of the things to do in order to end with God in heaven – being born again, living in the consciousness of eternity and living in holiness.

Today, we shall consider yet another thing to do in order to end in eternity with God:

Repent and confess all sins promptly (1 John 1:7-9).

Beloved, temptation is normal as far as life on earth is concerned. So, don’t kill yourself because you were tempted. The issue is not the fall into the mud but lying down inside the mud after falling into it. If you fall into the mud, don’t live there, and don’t make falling into the mud a habit.

God desires a person with a contrite and sincere heart (Psalm 51:17). He does not delight in sending people to hell. So, be sincere with God when you fall into temptation and repent.

It may be true that you didn’t plan to tell a lie but maybe while talking, there was a pressure of speech and you exaggerated a fact. Maybe, you came in contact with some unhealthy sights and sounds unintentionally that took a hold on your mind, and as a result, you found yourself being lured into sinful habits. Maybe, you were engaged with some evil friends that led you into doing evil things. When you come back to your senses, all you should do is to go before God and say, “Oh Lord! I am sorry. Have mercy on me”.

So, refuse to sleep with guilt because you don’t know what will happen overnight; confess your sins promptly and receive forgiveness from God.

REMEMBER THIS:

Previously, we saw that the quality of the revelation you access determines the level of preservation you can experience. The revelation of God’s Word preserves people from the attack of the enemy.

Today, we shall look at one revelation from Scripture that will guarantee your preservation, and that is:

The only conspiracy or gathering that can succeed against you is the one that originated from God.

The Scripture says, “Behold, they shall surely gather together…” (Isaiah 54:15a). This means, witches, wizards, bad people, people who are not too bad but do not wish you well, occultists, envious and jealous people, shall surely gather together. But their gathering is not what is important. What is important is: “…but not by me…” says the Lord. Their gathering against you is not of the Lord.

The implication of this is: the only conspiracy or gathering of men or demons that can succeed against you is the one that originated from God.

Beloved, God is saying to you, “You can only be afraid that people ganged up against you if I was the One who organized the gang-up. The reason why their gathering does not mean anything is that their gathering is not by me”.

Beloved, let this revelation change you mind-set. There is no gang-up of men against you that can succeed since it is not by God.

You are preserved in Jesus’ Name!

TOPIC: HOW TO END IN HEAVEN WITH GOD

SCRIPTURE: 

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: 

The pathway to ending in eternity with God is being born again, living in the consciousness of eternity and living in holiness.

It has been confirmed that heaven is real and hell is also real (Daniel 12:2). And God desires that no one should perish in hell but everyone should end in heaven (2 Peter 3:9).

NOW, WHAT DO YOU DO TO END IN ETERNITY WITH GOD IN HEAVEN?

1. Be born again (John 3:3-5)

To be born again is to acknowledge that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus Christ died for you, confess your sins and ask Him to come into your life and change your life. Being born again is our number one passport to Heaven and that passport must remain valid always.

2. Live in the consciousness of eternity

Know that there is an inevitable appointment and in-escapable judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Refuse to live just for pleasure as the people lived in the days of Noah – eating, drinking, partying, etc., without the consciousness of eternity (Matthew 24:38-39).

Someday, everything that deprives you of having time with God will end and then, you will face God. So, live in the consciousness of eternity.

3. Live in holiness (Hebrews 12:14).

To live in holiness means to live in the fear of God. It is to live with a conscience that is alive and tender. This is a pathway of ending in eternity with God.

In summary, the pathway to ending in eternity with God is being born again, living in the consciousness of eternity and living in holiness. You shall end well in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today and be born again.

2. Live in the consciousness of eternity always.

3. Make up your mind to live right always.

O Lord, I ask for the grace to end well with You in eternity. I receive the grace to live in the consciousness of eternity and to live uprightly, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

You are welcome to the month of December, the twelfth month of the year 2020, our year of Supernatural Shift. 

In this last month, I decree that the Lord shall deliver into your hands all the remaining package of the year, in Jesus’ Name.

Revelation has been confirmed to be one of the greatest assets of a spiritual man or woman. 

One reason why revelation is such a great asset to a spiritual person is that revelation brings elevation (Matthew 16:13-19).

Now, I will give you two more reasons why revelation is such a crucial asset to a spiritual person:

1. Revelation Brings Distinction

Revelation causes people to stand out in life. Revelation makes people to stand apart from others. What makes you stand apart from your age-mates is what you know that they don’t know. 

In his days, Apostle Paul stood apart from his contemporaries because of the things he knew that they (his contemporaries) did not know. When you access revelation, you will shine and stand out in life (Isaiah 60:1).

2. Revelation Brings Transformation

People are changed by revelation (2 Corinthians 3:18). Men are transformed by insight. 

There are things you will know from God’s Word that will change your behaviour on the spot. Revelation changes your mind-set on the spot. And when you are transformed by revelation, people will look at you and wonder. 

They will begin to ask you, “What has happened to you? What did you do differently? Your life has changed drastically”.

Beloved, in this month, I decree that God will show you the revelation that will bring both distinction and transformation to your life in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: 

When you access revelation, you will shine and stand out in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Make up your mind to study God’s Word continuously.

2. Ask God to open your eyes to see wondrous things from His Word as you study.

PRAYER: 

O Lord, I receive the grace and discipline to study Your Word consistently. Open my eyes to see marvellous things from Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
